Is Nokuo a web app or a desktop app?
You will usually use Nokuo in the desktop app. The website is for accounts, subscriptions, downloads, and help docs.
Can Free be used long term?
Yes. Free is not just a trial gate. It lets you get started and add multiple content items, but workspace capacity is limited.
What is the Plus price?
Plus is 39.9 / month.
Does the service store plaintext content?
No. See Security and Data Storage for the full boundary.
Where is my data stored?
Primarily in the local Vault folder you choose. For sync options, see Sync and Restore.
Can I avoid S3 and use a local sync tool instead?
Yes. iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Syncthing, Feiniu, NAS sync, and similar tools fit the local-sync folder model.
Can I use Cloudflare R2, Aliyun OSS, or MinIO?
Yes. Nokuo's object-storage sync is designed around S3-compatible APIs.
Which plan should I start with if I just want to try it?
